Talei in the TONE studio
Hands holding colour drapes

About

I built this because I needed it first.

I am Talei. Twenty years behind the chair, and for most of them I watched the same thing happen. Someone would bring in a photograph of hair they loved, we would make it beautifully, and it still would not sit right on them.

The colour was not the problem. The starting point was. We were designing from an image instead of from the person in the chair.

Colour analysis gave me the missing step, and studying the Korean approach gave me the precision. Their method is patient, drape-led and deeply structured, and it changed how I plan every head of hair I touch.

01

Seoul informed

The methodology behind TONE comes out of the Korean personal colour tradition, where analysis is treated as a discipline with a sequence, not a quiz with a result.

02

Education first

You are shown what we are looking at while we look at it. Nobody leaves with a colour they cannot explain to themselves.

03

One client at a time

Appointments are built around the work your hair needs. There is no double booking and no rushing a plan to fit a slot.

The studio

TONE is on Jervois Road in Herne Bay. Quiet, private, north light, and a set of drapes that took two years to assemble properly.
